First responders from the Arlington County Fire Department were called shortly before noon to the 3500 block of Potomac Street for reports of a person pinned beneath a toppled mini excavator.
Upon arrival, fire crews found the man trapped under the equipment. He was extricated and transported to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
As of 12:40 p.m., emergency crews were still on the scene clearing the area and conducting further investigations. The man's current condition has not been released.
